Wooden tabletop on a black metal iron stand with decorative twists, featuring two shelves and a rustic, artistic design.

Some pieces are born from sketches.
This one began with a walk through the woods.

The client wanted something elemental, “a piece that feels alive, not manufactured.” We started with a raw-edged slab of figured maple and let the material speak. Every curve, knot, and gradient was preserved, not as imperfection, but as character.

The base was forged by hand. Twisted blackened steel, shaped into branch-like forms that cradle the top without symmetry or stiffness. It’s functional sculpture: wild yet precise, organic yet engineered. The lower shelf adds utility, but doesn’t disrupt the poetry of the form.

This isn’t a table for just any room. It’s a centerpiece. A conversation between material and maker, nature and nurture.

Design Notes:

  • Live-edge maple top, stabilized and satin-finished

  • Custom-forged steel base with naturalistic branch motif

  • Welded shelf with organic crossbars for visual lightness

  • Matte blackened metal for contrast and depth

  • Designed to evoke woodland forms without veering rustic
